Meet the Teacher!

About Me:

Hello! My name is Caroline Mena, and I am so thankful the Lord has led me to teach 2nd grade this year at Grace Academy. It is truly a joy and privilege to be part of a school where Christ is at the center of everything we do. I am so excited to welcome your child into our classroom and to walk alongside your family during this season of learning and growing in the Lord.

Throughout my life, God opened many doors for me to share the gospel with children. I spent fifteen years teaching Good News Club in public schools, and I’ve been deeply involved in Children’s Ministry, teaching Sunday School for six years. By God's grace, I’ve also been involved in Adventure Club on Sunday evenings and have had the privilege of hosting Children’s Ministry Bible study in our home for the past four years. It brings me great joy to see the Lord at work, planting seeds of His truth in young hearts.

When Pastor John MacArthur shared the vision for Grace Academy, I sensed the Lord providentially guiding my thoughts. As my children became more independent, I prayed for clarity and direction, and the Lord graciously opened the door for me to return to the classroom. I began serving as office staff and a Teacher’s Assistant in 1st grade, then with 7th and 8th grade, eventually teaching and subbing across all grade levels. Through every experience, God has lovingly prepared me for where I am now, joyfully stepping into a full-time teaching role with the age group I’ve always loved.

God has blessed me with three precious children. My son Christian is in his final year at The Masters University, majoring in Business, Bible, and Computer Science. My daughter Isabella is entering her second year at TMU, pursuing a degree in Teacher Education and Graphic Design. And my youngest, Gabriella, is a sophomore in high school and plays on the volleyball team. Being their mom is my greatest blessing and a constant reminder of God's faithfulness.

Thank you so much for entrusting your child to me. I am praying for each student and family, and I look forward to a year full of learning, joy, and Christ-centered growth. May all we do in our classroom bring glory to Him!

With joy and gratitude,

Mrs. Carol
